ABOUT FCA / NATC

For over 60 years, the Freight Carriers Association and the North American Transportation Council have been recognized for their expertise on matters related to Canadian Domestic and US-Canada for-hire trucking.

The Freight Carriers Association of Canada (FCA) represents motor carriers engaged in for-hire trucking in the Canadian domestic market.

The North American Transportation Council (NATC) represents Canadian and US based motor carriers engaged in for-hire trucking in the North American transborder market.

We are two organizations with similar mandates:

  • To provide a forum to allow carriers to discuss common problems and issues of general interest and importance.
  • To develop, publish and maintain rate structures and software for use by motor carriers and their customers.
  • To provide quality information in a timely fashion to assist our members and other parties involved with the motor carrier industry.
Members of both organizations benefit from the input of various carrier committees that bring together the considerable knowledge and expertise available in our industry. The functions of the committees include identifying and anticipating problems and seeking solutions through analysis, research, surveys and special studies. To recognize the interests of all parties, the views and opinions of both carriers and their customers are sought.

Our offices are located in Buffalo, NY and in Fort Erie, ON just across the Niagara River from one-another. From this unique vantage point at one of the most widely traveled gateways between Canada and the US, we stay abreast of the rapidly changing transborder, Canadian and US domestic markets.
