LTL Carriers Announce Rate Increases

A number of large U.S. LTL carriers have recently announced rate increases. The increases impact non contract freight and act as the base for future contract negotiations.

Carriers announcing rate increases include:

o ABF Freight 6.9% effective June 25, 2012

o Con-way Freight 6.9% effective July 9, 2012

o FedEx Freight 6.9% effective July 9, 2012

o Oak Harbor 6.9% effective July 2, 2012

o Roadrunner Transportation 6.9% effective July 16, 2012

o UPS Freight 5.9% effective July 16, 2012

o YRC Freight 6.9% effective July 9, 2012
