Fort Erie, ON – April 6, 2001 – The Board of Directors of the Freight Carriers Association of Canada, through its Chairman, Mr. Gary King and the Board of Directors of the North American Transportation Council, through its Chairman, Mr. Jim Benninger, announce the appointment of Mr. David J. Sirgey as President to both associations.
Mr. Sirgey has been employed by NATC for over 23 years and by both FCA & NATC since 1994. He has been engaged in various administrative capacities and was most recently the Manager of Logistics Information. This completes the implementation of a two-year management transition plan. Former President, Ms. Micheline Tansey, will continue to work with FCA’s Tariff Advisory Committee and the Comité Consultatif on a consulting basis.
Mr. Sirgey brings to the associations a sound knowledge of the trucking
industry and expertise in the management of trucking associations.
