The Niagara Frontier Tariff Bureau (NFTB) announces the solution for LTL shippers and carriers increasingly frustrated with the confusion, errors and outlandish discounts caused by the bringing forward an almagamation of outdated base rate structures developed for the pre- 1980 era.
NFTB 2000, a brand new All US/All Canada rate structure was specifically developed to simplify LTL rating.
While shippers and carriers are re-engineering their operations to remain competitive and grow into the next millennium, NFTB 2000 is the first ‘re-engineering’ of the LTL rates. ‘This is quite an event! we started with a clean, blank sheet of paper and created what everyone involved in US/Canada trade needs.’ This is what re-engineering is all about.
NFTB 2000 replaces the current patchwork quilt of several unrelated Bureau rate levels with rates built from scratch to recognize current market conditions. ‘Dramatic changes have occurred within the LTL industry since 1980; changes that necessitated rethinking and redesign of base rate structures.’
The new NFTB 2000:
· uses actual highway miles between central points of zip/postal code groups;
· uses weight differentials that reflect realistic handling cost relationships;
· uses density differentials that reflect cost relationships of different LTL classes for the distance traveled;
· applies border-crossing and customer clearance costs that reflect today’s handling characteristics.
· thoroughly utilizes the Canadian postal code scheme applying it to trucking rates in a sensible manner.
The NFTB 2000 is incorporated into the FCA/NFTB Quick Rate System- Release 3 (a suite of PC based pricing, rating and quotation software). A FREE EVALUATION COPY OF THE QUICK RATE DISK RATER WITH NFTB 2000 IS AVAILABLE UPON REQUEST. Shippers, receivers and carriers are encouraged to either call (905) 994-0560 or FAX their request for a FREE evaluation copy today to (905) 994-0117.
For shippers and carriers involved in US or Canadian domestic traffic, the same common sense approach was used to develop rate databases which can be quickly customized to suit YOUR NEEDS. Please advise and we will send you a <<sneak preview>> .
