BASE
RATE STRUCTURES
For companies wishing to
simplify pricing by adopting a uniform base rate level, we have developed
cost related, FAK, class or density driven rate structures to provide alternatives
to costly in-house development and maintenance.
US-Canada
transborder and Canadian domestic rate
structures are are readily available. We can also develop custom
designed base structures for companies requiring their own unique level.
US/Canada
Transborder
NATC 500 Series - The traditional
set of base rates, this combination of five tariffs provides the most widely
used and accepted level of rates having evolved from NATC's predecessor
the Niagara Frontier Tariff Bureau.
Canadian
Domestic
FCA publishes a series of
tariffs providing class or FAK rates within Canada. These are the most
widely used, collectively established base rates in Canada. Many
North American shippers have adopted FCA rates as the base rates for their
RFP (request for proposal) on Canadian LTL traffic.
Custom
Base Rate Structures
For companies requiring
a unique rate level, we can work with you to prepare a customized rate
structure that meets your specific requirements.
All rate levels are compatible
with the FCA-NATC
Rating System (our PC based suite of pricing, rating and auditing tools) as
well as SMC3's rating products.
